DC PHP is seeking new members for our Web development team to help build and maintain our clients' ever-growing software needs.
Developers on DC PHP's staff have the daily satisfaction of working with the state of the art Open Source applications and tools
like PHP, MySQL, Linux, Apache, Drupal, Subversion, etc.
DC PHP builds critical internet webpages, resources, modules and templates; identifies opportunities to create new tools
for DC PHP clients and employees, and partners with developers across the world who contribute to Open Source projects.
DC PHP's Developers build and maintain Web sites for local, national and international clients, which are seen by millions of users.
We balance our technical and design skills to create clean, effective Web pages, automation tools, and database applications.
Our Old Town Alexandria office is a casual work environment, with 6 to 8 co-workers, conveniently located right off King Street
just 5 minutes walk from the King Street Metro line.
Demonstrated portfolio of work required.
English fluency required

Project Manager
This is for full time, salaried staff.
Requirements:
* At least 2 years as a project leader
* Proven ability to lead a development team.
* Proven ability to lead all stages of the development lifecycle.
* BS in Computer Science (4 additional years on the job experience may substitute)
* PHP experience is a must!
* Web programming experience (ASP, AJAX, CSS, .NET, Perl, JSP, Java or ColdFusion)
* Database management experience (MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc)
* Experience designing complex web-based systems
* Experience configuring and administrating Linux/Apache and Windows/IIS
* Experience working with content management system frameworks (Drupal, Joomla, etc)
* Program & project management techniques
* Multitask effectively in fast paced, deadline driven environments

PHP Web Developer
This is for full time, salaried staff.
Requirements:
*Minimum 2 years of experience in Web development
*Expert HTML skills with cross-browser, cross-platform compatibility
*Strong scripting skills in PHP
*Strong database skills with MySQL or other SQL-based databases
*Experience in CSS and Javascript
*Interest in user interfaces and experience with user feedback
*MySQL or other database proficiency
*Experience working in a UNIX or Linux environment
*Comfort with version control
*Attention to detail
*Ability to work with and organize large volumes of content
*Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
*Ability to drive projects from start to finish with minimal supervision
*Excellent organization and communications skills, with experience communicating across groups
